The Power Academy of Irish dance is one of the top Irish Dance schools in Utah.  Founded in 2002, the Power Academy has quickly become the Premier school for Performing and Competition, and has participated in numerous festivals throughout the state, including winning first place dance entry in the Salt Lake City St. Patrick's Day Parade and Siamsa.  The directors of the school are Lisa Power Steinmetz, T.C.R.G. and Aubree Shelley, T.C.R.G.

Students of the Power Academy have risen to the highest levels of Irish Dance competition, including the North American Irish Dance Championships. Several students have gone on to dance with Brigham Young University's International Folk Dance program.

The Power Academy has locations in American Fork and Payson Utah. Classes are offered for all levels of dancers, from beginner through championship.   Their classes include both Traditional and Contemporary styling, and they offer a variety of instruction from certified teachers and experienced class assistants. The Power Academy teaches a curriculum of Traditional Irish Step Dance, including solo softshoe and hardshoe, and Ceili, or group dancing. From there we build on this traditional foundation to create contemporary Irish Dance pieces in the style of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

The Power Academy teaches a curriculum of Traditional Irish Step Dance, including solo softshoe and hardshoe, and Ceili, or group dancing. From there we build on this traditional foundation to create contemporary Irish Dance pieces in the style of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
